Lions Mini Golf
Our 18-hole mini golf course in the Palmerston North Esplanade – open weekends, public and school holidays.

Our services
The Lions Clubs International motto is We Serve – selfless service to others in need in our local community.
You'll recognise us by our bright yellow t-shirts, supporting or helping at worthy fundraising events, or raising funds for special causes – like a special breathing jacket for a young girl, or a computer for a severely impaired man so he could keep producing his fabulous Christmas light displays for Palmerston North children and adults.
All funds raised from the general public are used for charitable outreach. We work tirelessly raising funds to assist others less fortunate than ourselves, and you'll also see us undertaking small building or gardening projects that owners are unable to complete. Read more about what we do in Our Story.

More ways we serve

Lions Clubs New Zealand's Heads Up for Kids gives young people a helping hand to take part in an experience or activity that helps them live their dream, set life goals and reach their full potential.
Launched in July 2010, it asks New Zealanders to donate old decimal and pre-decimal New Zealand currency and any foreign money. The obsolete cash is redeemed for New Zealand dollars and used to fund education programmes for young Kiwis who wouldn't otherwise get the opportunity.

Lions clubs throughout the country support Kidney Kids NZ, a national not-for-profit providing support and services to children with kidney disease and their families – home and hospital visits, camps, family get-togethers, information and phone support.
Middle Districts Lions collect all sorts of aluminium – wine tops, can tabs and cans. They're sorted and sold, and all funds go to Kidney Kids through Lions NZ.

Middle Districts Lions Club members have carried out many service projects over the years. Recently, members built gardens and cleaned up the courtyard at the Marion Kennedy Centre.

In almost any home there's a pair of glasses no longer being used – and that same pair can change someone's life. That's why Lions started the Recycle for Sight programme.
We accept prescription and reading glasses, sunglasses, and plastic and metal frames – children's glasses are especially needed. Donated glasses are sorted, checked, cleaned and their prescription recorded, then sent to Volunteer Ophthalmologist Services Overseas (VOSO) for people with poor eyesight in the Pacific Islands.
