A very productive morning was spent at our new mini golf facility by a group of Lions members removing metal from the areas that will become gardens planted with shrubs and flowers. As the metal had previously been compacted, a small team armed with picks, loosened the metal; ‘shovellers’ followed behind filling the barrows, then dumping the contents into a large pile ready to re-use later in the project. An estimated 30 barrow loads were removed. Good natured banter assisted in making the task somewhat easier. One further working bee should complete the task.
