Lions Mini Golf Drives Community Impact: 2023 Grant Recipients

Thanks to the generous support of our community, Lions Mini Golf along with other Club activities raised a significant amount in 2023, enabling the Lions Middle Districts Charitable Trust to contribute to a diverse range of impactful initiatives. We’re proud to support these worthy causes:

  • Healthcare:
    • Palmerston North Hospital Foundation – new Children’s Emergency Department: $20,000
    • Ronald McDonald House, Wellington – child cancer room sponsorship ($7,500/year for 3 years): $22,500
  • Education and Safety:
    • Ross Intermediate safe cycling initiative – two bikes: $1,500
    • A laptop for a parent caring for a disadvantaged child: $1,000
  • Community Resilience:
    • Hawkes Bay Cyclone relief: $10,000
    • Manawatū Scottish Society building repair: $9,000
  • Supporting Local Initiatives:
    • Free passes to mini golf for a variety of smaller community initiatives: $2,000

We’re grateful for the support of our players and volunteers, and we’re excited to continue making a positive difference in the lives of those in our community.
